Cindy Huddleston has practiced law with Florida Legal Services (FLS) for over 25 years. She focuses primarily on economic security and public benefits advocacy for low-income families with state agencies and the Florida Legislature as well as litigating in federal and state courts. Prior to joining FLS, Cindy was an attorney with Legal Services of Greater Miami for over five years, where she was head of the Public Benefits Unit. Ms. Huddleston is the recipient of multiple awards, including the 2014 and 2016 Goldstein Award for Excellence from the Florida Bar Foundation and has authored and edited numerous publications, including the bi-annual Dissolution of Marriage and Public Benefits chapter of the Florida Bar’s Dissolution of Marriage Manual. Ms. Huddleston has also been appointed to numerous commissions on public assistance, including to former Governor Lawton Chiles’ Welfare Reform Commission and former DCF Secretary George Sheldon’s Advisory Committee on Economic Security. She is a graduate of Case Western University School of Law and was a Reginald Heber Smith fellow.
