Vice President, Hunger Relief at United Way of Palm Beach County

Julie works with United Way of Palm Beach County to implement the Palm Beach County Hunger Relief Plan, organizing and implementing a robust public engagement process to address local hunger. Her role is to lead and mobilize efforts to achieve the Hunger Relief Plan’s 10 Goals’ Objectives and Strategies. She worked with Florida Impact, a statewide nonprofit profit organization, from 2010 – May 2018 to assist with their efforts to secure economic justice in Florida by reducing hunger and poverty. She worked in three South Florida counties to mobilize communities to increase access to federal food, nutrition, and other economic support programs. Julie brings more than 25 years of experience in marketing, advertising, strategic development, execution and program management, community relations and outreach, and team and coalition building. Her career has included service as the Director of Community Building and then Vice President of Community Impact at the United Way of Broward County, and work with the Marketing and Communications Divisions of Florida Power & Light Company, Broward Health and Walt Disney World. Julie studied at the University of London and is a magna cum laude graduate of James Madison University.
