Mary Herbert

Regional Director, San Angelo, Baylor University’s Texas Hunger Initiative 

Mary Herbert is the Regional Director of the Texas Hunger Initiative in San Angelo. She oversees THI’s work with Child Nutrition Programs and Hunger Free Communities in 23 counties of West Texas. Before joining THI, Mary spent three years teaching high school English and eighteen years as a community volunteer before embarking on a career in non-profit management. She was the Executive Director of the San Angelo Schools Foundation, Caregiver Program Manager for the Area Agency on Aging, the Special Projects Coordinator for RSVP, and Program Manager for Helping Hands. Mary earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Speech from Baylor University and holds a Teaching Certificate for Secondary Education from the State of Texas.
