Regional Director of South, Florida Impact to End Hunger
Sam Hopwood joined Florida Impact to End Hunger in 2017. Before officially joining the team, he helped with the development of the Why Breakfast is Important white paper. Sam completed a BS in Biology and a BA in Spanish from the University of New Mexico and a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the University of Miami. Sam had previously interned with Nourish International, Project Amazonas, and the Nature Conservancy on developing and implementing multiple community-based public health projects both here in Miami-Dade County and further afield in Latin America and Africa. Sam is committed to tackling nutritional barriers and health disparities across South Florida, and ensuring that all children are given an equitable opportunity to succeed and thrive.
