Program Director, Live Healthy Miami Gardens
Thamara Labrousse is the Program Director of Live Healthy Miami Gardens. She has hands-on expertise on managing complex organizational issues, developed over 25 years working in social and human service and government settings, as well as extensive experience in nonprofit management. She excels in bridging partnerships that bring grassroots leaders together with professionals and policy makers to improve their communities. Her professional experience includes seven years as a Consulting Partner with Strategic Partners. Ms. Labrousse has also held leadership positions with Switchboard of Miami, Inc., including serving as the organization’s Executive Director, Chief Operating Officer, and Program Director. Currently, Ms. Labrousse works with the City of Miami Gardens as Program Director for Live Healthy Miami Gardens. The initiative is part of the city’s strategic and systemic effort to reduce poor health outcomes by engaging community residents to improve selected public health indicators. Ms. Labrousse is a double Barry University alumnus, with a Bachelors of Science degree in Public Administration and a Masters of Science degree in Management.
